Tenth has a passion for God's Word and clear faithful preaching. They also have a passion for ministering to the people in Philadelphia and overseas through their support of missionaires and short term missions. A quality place to grow in God's grace and use the gifts God has given you.

My wife and I love this church. Whenever we visit Philadelphia, we always visit Tenth. We only wish that we had its equal in our city. God's Word is preached in a clear and powerful way; the music is transcendent, and the congregation sings those old hymns with gusto. In fact, I've never heard a congregation sing with such great enthusiasm! What an honor it has been for us to join in song with the saints here. Tenth Presbyterian is a gem with a long history of preaching the gospel. She was founded in 1828 and has been blessed with some of the finest preachers this country has known. My favorite (through audio recordings) is Donald Grey Barnhouse. He pastored from 1929 - 1960. The list of the great men who have preached from the Tenth pulpit is much too long to list here. Although this church has a wonderful history, she is not stuck in the past. Tenth is just as vibrant a church today as she has been for nearly two centuries. I highly recommend that you visit.

A wonderful place in which to worship, with some of the finest preaching I've ever heard. The music program is stellar--great variety and the organ is terrific. Plus, the members of the congregation don't sing like Presbyterians. :-)

I visited this church while doing my brain tumor charity walk in Philadelphia. The people are very friendly, the worship service is simply incredible, and the teaching of the Word of God is first rate. This is truly one of the most outstanding churches in the world today.

Where is the women leadership?

This church is amazing. The church is large. However, an advantage to a large church, is there is something for everyone. You will not be able to get to know everyone but you should find a nice group of people that have similar interests. The preaching is strong and seriously biblical. If you are looking for an I'm ok you're ok church. This is not the church for you. The pastors believe and preach the word of God, even the unpopular words of God. You will find very little compromise on scripture here. If it is God's word you are looking for or if your child is attending college in Philadelphia and you would like to find a sound biblical church for them to attend. Look no further, this is it. Great biblical preaching, Great music, Great ministries, Awesome scholarly pastor. the best.

I started going to this church in 2010. It was around the time they were looking for a new Senior Minister, thank God I heard Tripp before he left. I first received wonderful feedback from a few Ministers who have since left. They were interested in me joining the church. Received a letter and everything. First some of those small groups, not all are what they are cracked up to be. Meeting in someone's home. Very nice they open their home but some of the participants aren't open. Second after I received that letter acknowledging my wanting to become a member. Nothing Nothing I didn't even know where to begin to follow up about it. I was disappointed. I like some of the Ministers there now but that church in and of itself, the people aren't that friendly and it seems that they aren't too interested in getting new members. Attend service every once and a while because they have an excellent music ministry. They have great outreach programs. Servicing for service sake I suppose

All filthy people..crumbs...
